The general perception
of a strong guy is when he has six packs and big abs; something like a supper
man physique. In fact, that fits into the picture of a wrestler or a boxing
champion. A lot of these people and guys work a lot on trying to get this kind
of feature. My question is does it really depict strength?
Samson is a
name synonymous with strength, considering all his exploit;
Relocating the
gate of a city by carrying it with its post/beams to another location, routing a whole army single handedly using only a jaw bone and
also the most common is killing a lion with his bare hand - what a feat for a
man!
I was trying to
see where it was said he had six packs or big muscles/abs… huh, did you find
any?
Interestingly,
he had SEVEN LOCK on his head. Judges 16:13, 22. What is that in relation to
his strength? Will he be using it to tie people or be using it to beat people
as a weapon?
In fact, he
told Delilah that if they were shaven, his strength would leave him and he will
be as weak as any other man Judges 16:17. What is this mysterious seven locks?
This can be
related to the seven spirit of God mentioned in Isaiah 11:2, “The Spirit of
the LORD will rest on him — the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the
Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the
LORD.” This could possibly explain the seven spirits of God: (1) Spirit of the
LORD, (2) Spirit of wisdom, (3) Spirit of understanding, (4) Spirit of counsel,
(5) Spirit of power, (6) Spirit of knowledge, (7) Spirit of the fear of the
Lord.
Have
you considered that every time he was going to exhibit this phenomenon strength,
it is said that the spirit of the Lord rested on him?
Do
you have the spirit of the Lord? Have you allowed Him so much control in your
life? Then, that explains why we have not experience so much display of
strength and deliverance like Samson did.Would you rather prefer the Six packs or the Seven locks?
