Politics and Marriage our Nigeria Experience

It is very notable that our patriarch in the bible all were particular about the kindred and family their children especially their heirs get married to. Also the same is the advice of our parents and elders in the society. At times we flaunt this advice and get away with it as we believe every person is different on their own and should be treated differently, but most of the time we get our fingers burnt when we see the effect that the family a person came from can have on them.If your parents never had children, chances are you won’t, either”. Dick Cavett

Relating these to our political situation, we have trusted some personalities in time past taking for granted the party that produced them and we have seen the outcome of their performance; their actions and in-actions. It is of note that every political party is looking for credible candidates to front since the voting populace is now very enlightened, but we have seen how the system have corrupted even the saintliest of persons – you will understand that, that is an experience of a marriage to a man/woman from a bad family. If they cannot corrupt the character of the man, then they can make his life miserable and give him a bad name.

It is now time to choose between trying a MAN and believing he can withstand the pressure of an 'idealess'/idealistic family (political party) or risk/enjoy experiencing the effect his family can have on him at the long run.

It is said that you cannot be better than the system that produces you. I believe there are exceptions. Can we have any of these lots as exceptions?
