I have
started reading a lot of things of how people are making success quotes,
processes, even prayers about how God can make you anything despite how wrong the things you do are.
There is a
saying that the end justify the means, but that is not always true!
In this
case of Trumps victory, the people of the USA were sceptical about the person of Trump as seen in the polling
statistics before the election, which could mean they would not want him to be
a role model to their children.
This is not
to say Clinton was a better candidate in terms of morals (but she kept
apologizing), but a Trumps personality,
life style, utterances even that of his wife (which they are not apologetic
about) is not the type we want our children to emulate.
A man may
be corrupt, stealing our common wealth so that he can perpetuate himself as a leader, we may desire that position of
leadership, but the means can never
be justified.
Eccl. 8:12 ‘Though
a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know
that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:’
We believe
that every leadership is instituted by God and for a purpose, so we should pray for them; also we know that no man is
beyond reproach or infallible, but a man that desires the position of
leadership should be worthy as a role model. This is what we should teach our youth.
Philippians
4:8 ‘Finally,
brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever
things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be
any praise, think on these things.’
ya that is it
