Following Jesus from a distance

"And Peter was following him at a distance, as far as the courtyard of the high priest, and going inside he sat with the guards to see the end." Matt 26:58

'Backsliding is not only when you turn back from Him, but also when you refuse to follow Him closely as before'
The distractions from our society and the effort we put into trying to make a living is practically seperating us from our maker. But since we are still walking in a close enough sight to what we used to be/do, we do not know we are already slidding back and if care is not taking, it is a matter of time and He will be out of sight.

"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?" 2 Cor 13:12

    Infact, Lagos lifestyle is truly separating us from Jesus bit by bit. Lord pls help me to test myself & afterwards take the right action

      Waking up early to go to work and coming back late and too tired to pray or meditate is the story of a working Christian in Lagos. May God help us. We need to find a balance, so that we will not just be earthly relevant and heavenly useless. God bless you Mia
